PHILOSOPHY AND GOALS Sand Hill Child Care Center was established to provide quality, loving care for children 6 weeks to 9 years old. The staff recognizes the importance of balanced growth as opportunities are provided for mental, physical and emotional growth through a variety of creative experiences. Children are encouraged to learn and explore at their own speed in areas that interest them. The center is licensed by the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services.
ADMISSIONS A child is considered to be enrolled in the center only after the registration fee has been received, the administrator confirms the availability of space and the required paperwork is received. This includes basic enrollment and health information. Any change to this information must be communicated to the office immediately so that current information is always on file. This is for the safety of your child. A medical form signed by a physician or certified nurse practitioner is required to be submitted within 30 days of admission. This medical form must be updated every 12 months.
HOURS AND DAYS OF OPERATION The center will be in operation Monday through Friday 6:30 am to 5:30pm. The center will close to observe the following holidays: Good Friday, Labor Day, Memorial Day, Thanksgiving and the day after, Independence Day, and Christmas Week (Christmas Eve day through the day after New Year’s day). Tuition is prorated during weeks with child care holidays.
DAILY SCHEDULES The children’s daily schedule is flexible enough to provide adaptability when necessary, but structured enough to provide predictability for the children. Schedules are posted on the hall way bulletin board along with weekly themes. Structured times include Circle Time, Fine Motor Activities, Large Motor Activities, Dramatic Play, Learning Time, Art Projects, Music, and Free Play.
TUITION/FEES AND PAYMENT POLICIES The weekly, daily and hourly fees will be determined by the Child Care Board. Notification of any increase in fees will be given at least 30 days in advance of the increase taking effect.
Infants(6 weeks to 18 months) $110.00 per week Toddlers* (18 months to 2 yrs old) $103.00 per week 3,4 &5 years old (not in school) $91.00 per week Latch Key Children - am (K-3rd gr.) $21.00 per week Latch Key Children - pm (K-3rd gr.) $21.00 per week Registration Fee $25.00 one time per child *Any child not toilet trained will be charged at the toddler rate.
About the Staff at Sandhill Sand Hill Child Care Center currently has 9 staff members and one substitute. Many of the teachers have earned degrees in or are pursuing degrees in Early Childhood Education. One staff member has been employed here since the late 1980s when the center opened and another employee has been here 10 years. All staff members are certified in CPR, First Aid, Communicable Disease training, and Child Abuse Prevention. |

Basket Bingo
Sand Hill Child Care Center will be having a Basket Bingo on Sunday, May 31, 2009 at 2:00PM at the Reno Township Building. There will be food, a country store, bake sale and then 20 games of bingo with filled baskets as prizes. Tickets will be available for the Basket Bingo around d the first of May. |
