The main purpose of United Methodist Women is Missions. Our group’s mission is supporting Flat Rock Group Home, a Lady at the Washington County Home, Marietta Food Pantry, District Pledge and Church Building Fund. We have two Soup Supper’s a year for Fund Raiser’s. Sand Hill UMW meets the second Thursday of the month at 7:00 except for July and August. All ladies of the church are invited to attend our meetings.

Our Prayer: O God, gracious giver and sustainer of life, Grant us eyes to see the needs of others, Ears to hear their cries of distress, Hands to serve, And willing hearts to answer your call. We remember, God, all who have served through the years in your name and in the name of your church. Be with them in their advancing years, that they may still find opportunities to serve, and may find grace in receiving comfort and care. We thank you that we may share in serving them. Open our hearts also when calls come to us to serve in many ways. We pray that you will touch the hearts of more women to offer themselves for service for you and your church. May we meet the challenges of today with love, as did our sisters in the years gone by. In the name of the One who loves and serves all. Amen
